The City of Alcoa Police Department, along with the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), Blount County Sheriff’s office, and Governor Highway Safety Office will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint at an undisclosed location on Friday, Feb. 25.
The City of Alcoa Police Department, Blount County Sheriff’s Office, and THP are required to conduct a certain number of sobriety checkpoints each year as part of the grant requirements set forth by the Tennessee Governor’s Highway Safety Office.
Officers and deputies will be alert for impaired drivers as well as other safety violations.
