City of Alcoa sets drinking water meeting

The City of Alcoa will be conducting a public meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the City of Alcoa Service Center 725 Universal Street in Alcoa to provide information about the City of Alcoa applying for a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Loan with Partial Forgiveness in the amount of $5,000,000 to build two 6 Million Gallon Water Reservoirs and the resulting impact on monthly water bills.

The city said 20 percent of that amount will be in the form of principal forgiveness and will not have to be repaid. Questions prior to the meeting should be directed to Simon de Vente in the engineering department at 865-380-4800.
