It is already one of the most elegant and special events in town. But those attending the Maryville City Schools Foundation Starlight Awards Gala on Saturday, Feb. 19, would do well to tuck a check or credit card in their pockets as they prepare to attend the event.
There’s going to be a live auction, and the items on the auction block aren’t something you can buy everyday.
The Starlight Gala is an evening to honor the Starlight winners and raise funds for the Maryville City Schools Foundation. Five will be presented Starlight awards in an impressive ceremony at the Clayton Center for the Arts on the Maryville College Campus.
Being honored are B.C. “Scooter” Clippard Jr., for Outstanding Alumni; Richard Harbison for Distinguished Service; Katie Gamble for Outstanding Young Alumni; Clayton Homes for Community Partnership; and Cindy Wilson for Family Partnership.
“Anyone who is planning to attend the event can bid on these items,” said Barbara Jenkins, Maryville City Schools Foundation executive director. “All proceeds from the auction will support the Maryville City Schools Foundation to benefit the Maryville City Schools.”
The live auction items include:
