Mane Support offers class in grief counseling

Mane Support is offering a new set of classes for children and youth who need help dealing with bereavement issues. The Buckaroos group is a place for activities with Mane Support horses, art, conversation and a safe place to share thoughts and feelings of grief and loss.

Mane Support is a nonprofit organization that provides a ministry through equine-assisted grief counseling to children, youth, teens and adults who have experienced a death, who are anticipating the death of someone they know or who have experienced other types of loss.

The Buckaroos bereavement group is for children and youth in grades kindergarten through fifth grade who have experienced a death of someone they know. The group will meet for six weeks, beginning Tuesday, Oct. 19, with a parent meeting from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Space is limited and registration is required. Please contact the Mane Support office at 865-233-3090 for more information. Charge is payment of choice.

Mane Support activities are conducted on the ground. There is no riding.
