It was a thank-you from Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson and the American Red Cross to those who have served this country, and 450 people turned out to join the celebration on Thursday, Nov. 11, at the Shed.
There was a brief program, but the majority of the special Veterans Day luncheon -- held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- was a time for vets to enjoy barbecue from Stinkers and catch up with friends, both old friends and new ones.
The Drunk Uncles provided bluegrass music for the gathering.
Organizers at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson called the event “amazing,” and offered veterans a big Thank You for all they have done for their country.
