A fast-pitch softball instructional camp has been scheduled for May 24-26 at the Heritage High School field. The camp will be directed by former Lady Mountaineer Kara Murr, a sophomore at Tennessee State University and the first Heritage player to sign with a Division I program.
Former Lady Mountaineer Tiffany Ervin and some of Murr’s Lady Tigers teammates will serve as assistants. The camp is open to girls 6-16 and will offer personal and group instruction in all phases of softball.
The camp will focus on drills to enhance throwing, hitting, pitching, infield, outfield catching, base running, bunting and sliding.
Cost is $30 per player if pre-registered by May 20. A team discount is available for groups of five or more.
Registration the day of the camp is $35. To register or for more information, email: tnsoftball@charter.net or call 414-5789.
