John W. Elder has become a partner in the firm of Paine, Tarwater, and Bickers, LLP. Elder began working at Paine, Tarwater immediately upon his graduation from The University of Tennessee College of Law in 2003. He received his undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University.
Elder is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Leadership Law Class for 2010. The Leadership Law class selects only 32 attorneys from across the state to come together over the course of a year to further develop the vision, knowledge and skills necessary to serve as leaders in their profession and local communities.
A member of the Knoxville and Tennessee Bar Associations, Elder works regularly with Legal Aid of East Tennessee’s Saturday Bar Clinics in Maryville, and serves as President of the Wesley Day School Board of Directors.
