First Tennessee recently promoted Richard Carnes to vice president and collections operations manager in its default servicing division.
Carnes is a graduate of Ohio State University where he received his B.A. Carnes received his masters from the University of Tennessee. He joined First Tennessee in 2002 and leads a collection team to reduce losses on $12 Billion Consumer Loan Portfolio, minimizing risk to the bank. Carnes resides in Friendsville with his wife Elithe Carnes and is an active community volunteer working with Kairos, Habitat for Humanity, Greenback Food Pantry and other organizations.
