The Maryville Rotary Club welcomed a new president at a club assembly on Thursday, June 24. Outgoing President Dr. Jeffrey Eberting joined several past presidents as they passed the gavel to president-elect Don Moore.

Moore will serve as the club’s president from July 2010- June 2011. “I am pleased and excited to be chosen to lead the Maryville Rotary Club during the coming year,” says Moore. “Our Club has a great history of service in both our local and international communities and I am looking forward to continuing this service through the talents, creativity and efforts of our many dedicated members.”

With the help of the club’s board of directors, Moore has several goals for the Maryville Rotary Club in the upcoming year. He plans to implement the Club Leadership Plan as recommended by Rotary International, establish a non-profit foundation for the club and attract and retain quality individuals as part of the club’s membership. “We have a very talented board of directors who have valuable experience and dedication in serving our community and our world. I am grateful to be a part of their team,” Moore says.

The Maryville Rotary Club was chartered in 1950 and currently has 50 members. The club meets every Thursday at noon at Green Meadow Country Club. For more information about the club and their projects, visit www.maryvillerotary.org.
