Every Wednesday is Family Night at Chick-fil-A at Foothills Mall, but youngsters got an extra “jump” on that fun recently when the restaurant teamed up with Grace Church of the Foothills.

During the Family Night on Nov. 11 the church reserved the trampoline area in the center of the mall for youngsters at the restaurant to enjoy before or after their meals.

“What made it so special was we were in partnership with Grace Church of the Foothills,” said Chick-fil-A manager Jason Stafford. “They have an office in the mall, and they rented out the trampoline area for the whole time the Family Night was going on in the restaurant. My customers and their kids could go to the trampoline area and jump for free.”

Stafford said usually each person jumping is charged admission. “We did that through November and December and plan on doing it again this summer,” he said of the joint promotion.

Each Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Stafford said the Chick-fil-A cow mascot drops by and has fun with the youngsters, and children get a free four-piece meal with the purchase of an adult combo. Marketing director Angie Kiser mans the ice cream bar and sets up activities for the children, Stafford said.

“Everybody looks forward to Wednesday,” he said. “We’re usually jamming at Chick-fil-A.”
