Keep Blount Beautiful seeking board nominations

Keep Blount Beautiful is seeking board nominations for the class of 2013. Keep Blount Beautiful is an award winning 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the community by encouraging litter prevention, waste reduction, and beautification.

Nominees must live or work in Blount County. The organization is looking for individuals with experience in, but not limited to, organization development, environmental stewardship and volunteer management.

Keep Blount Beautiful is also giving away free tree seedlings. Anyone interested in obtaining a free tree seedling is asked to call Keep Blount Beautiful.

The seedlings are provided by Blount County Parks & Recreation and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.

Trees available include Sawtooth Oak, Bald Cypress and Pin Oak.

There’s a limited supply, so folks are asked to call Keep Blount Beautiful at 865-681-4809.
