On the heels of Gov. Phil Bredesen’s declaration recently honoring National Influenza Vaccinations in Tennessee, the Blount County Health Department has scheduled a Free H1N1 flu vaccine clinic for Tuesday, Jan. 19 through Friday, Jan. 22 at the Wal-Mart Superstore located at 1030 Hunter’s Crossing Dr., in Alcoa.
The clinics will from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. H1N1 Flu Mist ® and flu shot vaccine will be provided at no charge with no appointment necessary.
“Since the flu is likely to continue, this observance is an important reminder to get the H1N1 flu vaccine that may have been put off,” said Micky Roberts, county health director. “There is plenty of H1N1 flu vaccine available, and we urge everyone to take advantage of this opportunity.”
