Blount BEneFITs seeks award nominations

Blount BEneFITs, an action team of the Blount County Community Health Initiative, is seeking award nominations for the second annual Ready, Set, Move! Awards. Local schools and businesses who are taking steps within their organizations to promote, contribute to and enhance the quality of life through healthy lifestyle opportunities are encouraged to apply.

There are three categories for businesses and schools for which an organization can be nominated. The categories for businesses are: Small (1-25 full-time employees), Medium (26-59 full-time employees) and Large (51 or more full-time employees). The categories for schools are: Elementary (grades K-5), Intermediate/Middle (grades 5-8) and High (grades 9-12). One overall winner and one runner-up will be selected from each category. Overall winners will receive a plaque and an award sign to post outside their facility. Winners also will be recognized for their efforts at an awards ceremony. The runner-up recipients will receive a framed certificate at the awards ceremony.
