Keep Blount Beautiful volunteers to receive a free day at Disney

In 2010, Disney Parks and HandsOn Network are celebrating the spirit and power of families that volunteer together with the Give A Day, Get A Disney Day program. Disney wants to inspire one million people to volunteer a day of service to a participating organization in their communities and celebrate their good works by giving each of them a one-day admission to a theme park at Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort, free.

Keep Blount Beautiful is an approved volunteer organization for the program and the first in Blount County to participate in the program. To register www.keepblountbeautiful.org, click on Give A Day, Get A Disney Day banner then follow the directions on the Disney website. To search for Keep Blount Beautiful enter zipcode 37804 and click “Find an Activity.”

Keep Blount Beautiful is in need of volunteers to help pick up litter on our roadsides, parks, parking lots and rivers. We offer supplies 365 days of the year: gloves, roadside vests, trash bags and pick up service. Choose your own location or KBB can choose one for you. We accept all ages, although children under 17 years of age must have parental supervision. The office is open Monday-Friday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Keep Blount Beautiful is an award winning 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization located in the Foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Our mission is to improve our community by encouraging litter prevention, waste reduction, and beautification.
