When the Maryville High School football began the season, only two offensive linemen were back from the previous year’s Class 4A state finalist. One of the two was senior Tevin Owsley, and, on national signing day last week, the Rebel tackle signed a National Letter of Intent with the University of Charleston (W.Va.).
With a retooled offensive line and a bump up to newly-created Class 6A, Maryville (13-2) got behind Owsley and his mates and chugged all the way back to the state championship game, where a second half rally against White Station of Memphis fell just short.
