Maryville Utilities adds customer service options to website

Besides being able to pay monthly utility bills online, Maryville Utilities has added some new options that allows existing customers to use their computer for a variety of functions relating to utility service.

Director of Financial Services, Debbie Caughron, stated, “Nowdays, people want to use their computer for information and service versus making a phone call or coming into our office.” When we began thinking about what we options we could place online to make life easier, our staff had many great suggestions.”

Customers can go to and click on the Customer Service tab at the top of the City’s home page. After typing in some information regarding their account, customers will now be able to see their payment history for the past year, print out their bill in case they lost it, connect and disconnect their service, and even change their account information, if needed. Caughron added “All this can be done any time of the day or night is what makes it attractive to many of our customers. Our office hours can sometimes conflict with those people who work, so now they can find out what they need to know online or make a payment.”

Residents can also pay their property taxes online, a service that the City implemented in 2008.
