The Blount County American Red Cross is seeking nominations from the community for its 8th Annual Heroes of Blount County Breakfast.
The March 25 event is the community’s opportunity to recognize its hometown heroes for their heroic acts, good deeds, and contribution to the safety and well being of the community.
Nominees should be people who have responded to a crisis to provide comfort or leadership and/or have provided an example to others in our community about dedication to the community in times of need.
Awards will be presented to one hero in each of nine categories: Firefighter, law enforcement, medical, emergency personnel, adult Good Samaritan, youth Good Samaritan, community impact, animal rescue and military.
The Heroes of Blount County Breakfast, in addition to offering the opportunity to salute heroes, is the Red Cross’ largest fundraiser and allows the community an opportunity to support the Red Cross as it responds to disasters and emergencies in Blount County.
