Registered nurse Linda Chapman has been named director of quality management at Blount Memorial Hospital. Chapman has 41 years of experience in nursing, including positions in hospital management, support and education.
As director of quality management at Blount Memorial, Chapman is responsible for the oversight of clinical data management, external regulatory reporting and Joint Commission accreditation activities. She will support hospital quality improvement efforts, as well as policy development and structure to support excellence in clinical practice at the hospital.
Prior to becoming director of quality management, Chapman was director of nursing compliance at Blount Memorial, among other positions in the hospital. She also has worked as a manager in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, and was vice president of women’s services for Covenant Health.
Chapman graduated from Maryville College with a bachelor of arts in social science. She has a master of science in nursing from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and a master of science in health service administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Ill.
