Christmas snow!

Townsend parade gets gift of light snow

The song says, “Don’t rain on my parade,” but a little snow on parade day just gets everyone in a holiday mood! The Townsend Christmas Parade got a dusting as folks came together to celebrate not only the season, but the camaraderie of the community on Sunday, Dec. 5. The annual Townsend Christmas Parade drew folks from throughout the region to celebrate in the mountains.

“It was cold, but really fun,” Townsend city recorder Shelia Moss said.

Moss said the weather cooperated and put everyone in a good mood. “Everybody loved it, and it snowed like crazy. I think everyone enjoyed the snow,” she said. “We’ve got lots of good comments about the parade. Personally, I think the best part of it is just the community getting together and having fun and good times and enjoying the parade.”
