APD to conduct saturation patrol on Aug. 27-28

The Alcoa Police Department will conduct a traffic safety saturation patrol this weekend.

APD officers will conduct the patrol starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, until 4 a.m. Aug. 28.

Officers will be enforcing all moving and non-moving violations on city streets and state routes while paying particular attention to Alcoa Highway, Pellissippi Parkway, Hunt Road, Old Knoxville Highway and Topside Road. Officers will focus on DUI enforcement, aggressive drivers, speeders, and seatbelt/child restraint violations.
