Remembering the Bulldogs

Everett High classmates enjoy summer reunion

Classmates from Everett High School gathered this summer to relive the memories of the gray and blue at a luncheon reunion that combined alum from the classes of 1922 to 1977.

The former Bulldogs have the joint reunion each year to celebrate Everett High School and to talk about the “good old days.”

When the class of 1937 celebrated their 50th class reunion in 1987, they invited other classes to join them. From that joint reunion grew today’s tradition of inviting all the classes to come together each year for fun and fellowship. The class of 1957 was the host of this year’s reunion.

The festivities on June 29 at Heritage High School brought in approximately 500 alumni from many of Everett’s classes, and included the awarding of an alumni scholarship to Kyle Perkins. Perkins, son of Everett graduate Robert Perkins and his wife, Kaye, is a 2010 graduate of Heritage High School, where he was valedictorian. He received a $1,000 scholarship.

Among the special guests were Robert Davis, class of 1943, who was principal at Everett for 20 years. Everett was closed in the summer of 1977 when Heritage High School was completed.
