Pellissippi State faculty senate book sale raises $7,850

Thanks to thousands of books and their new owners, more students at Pellissippi State Community College stand to benefit from scholarships.

The annual Faculty Senate Book Sale recently held at all four Pellissippi State campuses raised $7,850, exceeding last year’s total. The proceeds go to the Pellissippi State Foundation, which supports student enrichment services by providing scholarships, new technology and equipment.

Nearly one third of the books donated this year were new; the rest of the merchandise at the sale consisted of gently used books, CDs, DVDs, videos, vinyl, magazines, calendars, puzzles and computer games.
