The Dixie Highway Band will be filming a video at Two Doors Down nightclub in downtown Maryville.
The Blount County-based band will film at 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, and on Friday April 30.
“We’re going to shoot a live video. We’ve got to capture Dixie Highway live,” said manager Steve Jones. Jones said the local country group has shot videos before but never a live video. “We’re wanting as many Dixie Highway fans as we can to come to Two Doors Down for the video shoot,” said Jones.
JoeMoto Productions of Lenoir City is going to be filming, and there will be four special guests. “It is going to be just like if you went to Two Doors Down and saw the band,” said Jones. “That’s what we’re trying to capture.”
The band manager and uncle to four of the five members said they wanted to do the video in Maryville. “We could’ve filmed it any place, but we wanted to do it in our hometown.”
Jones said the band is inviting their fans to participate in the video. “We’re going to have a big time,” he said.
Jones said the band always energizes the crowds they entertain. “They have a real good chemistry with the audience. It is their high energy show. They’re a lot of fun and always entertaining,” he said. “In this situation -- with the video shoot -- they’ll turn it up another notch or two.”
Dixie Highway Band consists of Jones, manager; Justin Reynolds, lead vocal and rhythm guitar; Brent Jones, bass guitar and vocal; Derek Jones, keys and vocal; Kris Jones, drums and vocal; and Brian Jones lead guitar and vocal.
