With high school football season in full swing, Blount Today Sports Radio has joined with area restaurants for the inaugural season of Pep Rally on the Patio. Two pep rallies have brought fans to both Lenny’s Sub Shop and Beef O’Brady’s to listen to the Blount Today Sports Radio team, cheerleaders, players and fans.

Pep Rally on the Patio is broadcast on WLHR Radio, 97.9 FM, and features commentary on the upcoming Blount games, coaches interviews and cheers from the spirit teams at the schools being honored.

On Thursday, Aug. 20, Alcoa fans, players and cheerleaders came to Lenny’s Sub Shop as a preview of the game in Bell Co., Ky. On Thursday, Aug. 27, Beef O’Brady’s was the site for a pep rally for Maryville High School prior to the Maryville/Alcoa game.

Pep Rally participants listened to Marty Millsaps, Joe Lambert, Dave Bennett and Stefan Cooper discuss the upcoming games as cheerleaders led several cheers for the crowd and radio listeners. Pep Rally restaurants offered specials for those coming to the Patio.

The next Pep Rally on the Patio features Heritage High School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, at Aubrey’s.
