Drug sting collars six in Alcoa

Six Alcoa residents were arrested Aug. 31 when law enforcement served four search warrants in the Hall Community of Alcoa.

Andrea Lanette Watson, 51, Morse Street, Alcoa, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia; Ciara Datrice Ervin, 23, West Franklin Street, Alcoa, charged with possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine and cocaine) with intent to resell, simple possession of Schedule VI (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia; Kierra Shena Watts, 22, West Franklin Street, Alcoa, charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine) with intent to resell, and possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance (marijuana); Rufus Alexander Long, 51, West Stephenson Street, Alcoa, arrested on an outstanding warrant for delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine); Sean Anthony Asbury, 34, East Bell Street, Alcoa, arrested on an outstanding warrant for delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine), as well as evading arrest; Dewayne Demetrius Rockymoore, 22, arrested on an outstanding warrant for delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine), as well as evading arrest.

Court dates and bond amounts were not set at the time of this release.

Shortly after 9 a.m., investigators with the Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force, accompanied by the Alcoa Police Department, the Blount County Sheriff’s Office SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) team, the Maryville Police Department SWAT team, as well as agents with the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration)/HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area), the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation)/HIDTA, and the TBI (Tennessee Bureau of Investigation), executed four separate search warrants in the Hall Community of Alcoa.

During the search warrants, the above individuals were taken into custody, as well as several items seized. Items seized include more than $2,000 cash, two vehicles, and electronics equipment.

The investigations and search warrants are a result of complaints from residents of the Hall Community over the past few months.

The Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force is comprised of deputies and officers of the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, the Alcoa Police Department, and the Maryville Police Department.
