Bardwell joins Blount Memorial Emergency Department

Emergency medicine physician Dr. Steven J. Bardwell has joined the active medical staff at Blount Memorial Hospital. He will see patients in the hospital’s emergency department.

Bardwell received his undergraduate degree from Bethel College in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and received a medical degree from the Osteopathic Medical Center at Des Moines University in Iowa. He completed an internship at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Clinton Township, Mich. and his residency at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, also in Clinton Township, Mich.

Bardwell worked as an urgent care physician at Sparrow Hospital Urgent Care in Lansing, Mich., and worked as an emergency medicine physician at Battle Creek Health System in Battle Creek, Mich. In 2008, he joined EmergiNet, in Atlanta, Ga. where he worked as an emergency medicine physician until joining the staff of Team Health in Knoxville.
