The season of good food is upon us. With Thanksgiving just around the corner and Christmas following quickly on its heels, thoughts of cooking -- and eating -- are on everyone’s mind. It is always so much fun to have a brand new, but tried-and-true, recipe to take to holiday parties or to serve at home when guests arrive.
These Crescent Cheesy Puffs are a hit every time I serve them. Starting off your holiday party with these bite-size treats gets everything off to a good start. If cooking for a crowd, figure four appetizers per person.
Crescent Cheesy Puffs
1 pkg. crescent dinner rolls ( 8 oz.)
1 brick Monterey Jack or Mozzarella cheese ( 8 oz.)
1/2 cup Italian salad dressing
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs (finely crushed)
1/2 to 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Cut cheese into 24 cubes. Unroll crescent rolls. Wrap each cube of cheese into 1/3 of a crescent dough triangle. Wrap and seal.
Dip the sealed ball into Italian dressing. Roll in the bread crumbs and then in Parmesan cheese.
Place in greased mini-muffin pans. Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees.
