Ironwoman Run set to benefit MPD officer

An Ironwoman run is set for 2 p.m. May 31 in downtown Maryville. Proceeds from the event will benefit Maryville police officer P.J. Lindahl was involved in a one-vehicle wreck during a rainstorm on May 3 off Andy Harris Road at Wildwood Road. The vehicle went off a cliff and Lindahl sustained severe injuries. She is expected to make a full recovery. The fundraiser is to help cover medical expenses.

For children, Piglet from Winnie the Pooh will be walking with the younger participants.

The event is a non-competitive run/walk fundraiser. Pre-registration is 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 30 at Ruby T’s at 216 E. Church Ave, Maryville 37801. Make checks payable to Benefit-P.J. Lindahl.
