Heritage boys’ instructional camp begins May 27
The Heritage Boys Instructional Basketball Camp is scheduled for May 27-29 at the school’s gymnasium. Hours will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily. There will be an optional Early Bird Shooting from 8 a.m. to 9.
The camp is open to boys ages 5 through entering ninth grade. Attendees will be grouped for station fundamental instruction, then grouped by age for competition. Snacks will be sold during breaks. Each attendee will receive a camp t-shirt. The Heritage Mountaineer coaching staff and players will serve as instructors. Cost is $60.

Stache delivers big year at North Greenville
Former Heritage High school standout Karly Stache, a freshman guard at North Greenville University, had been awarded the team’s Best Newcomer award at its recent banquet.
Stache led North Greenville in scoring with a 13.4 points per game average. In 28 games, Stache made 76 3-pointers, placing her among North Greenville’s best shooters behind the arc. Stache finished the season with 375 points and an 81 percent free-throw percentage. Both marks were team-bests. As a math and chemistry major, Stache maintains a 4.0 grade point average.
Alcoa Tornadoes Basketball Camp scheduled for June
Enjoy a fun-filled week of basketball with the staff and counselors at the 2009 Alcoa High School Tornadoes Basketball Camp.
The camp will stress fundamentals, drills, work habits and team work. Registration is Monday, June 1, at 8 a.m. Cost is $65 per child. The camp will run Monday through Thursday, June 1-4.
The camp will start at 9 a.m. each day and end at 3 p.m. The camp with be held at the Alcoa High gymnasium.
Tornadoes coach Micah Marsh and Lady Tornadoes coach Tonia Gay will serve as camp directors.
Maryville College plans 28th annual Basketball Camp
The Maryville College men’s basketball staff is hosting its 28th annual MC Basketball Camp June 15 – 18. The camp will be held on the college campus in the air-conditioned Cooper Athletic Center.
The typical camp day will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will include hours of instruction and fundamental development. League play, games and contests will also be featured. Quality instruction will be provided by Maryville coach Randy Lambert and his staff, area high school coaches and college players.
Cost is $150, which includes lunch in the college cafeteria. Registration and camper check-in will be help from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 15.

Maryville College soccer camp registration underway
Registration is currently underway for the 2009 Maryville Soccer Camps. The Elite Camp will be held June 7-11, followed by the Junior Elite Camp on June 15-19.
The Elite option is a day or overnight camp for boys and girls 7 to 17. The Junior Elite is for boys and girls ages 5-11 and is a day camp only.

Lady Rebels schedule basketball camp for June
The 26th annual Maryville High School girl’s basketball camp will be held at the school’s James C. Campbell gymnasium from Monday, June 1, to Thursday, June 4.
Girls entering first through ninth grades next school year may attend. Camp hours will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, and the gym will open at 8 a.m. each day for those needing to arrive early.
Late registration and camper check-in will be June 1 from 8 to 8:45 a.m. Cost is $80, which includes a t-shirt, a compact size Lady Rebel camp basketball and a certificate.
