Leadership Blount alumni can spend a day learning about the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on May 19.
Alumni and guests are invited to an afternoon and evening of education and fellowship at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center in Townsend.
From 1 to 5 p.m. guided bus tours provided by Cades Cove Heritage Tours will take place. Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased on line at www.cadescoveheritagetours.org or by calling 865-448-8838. Tours are three hours long.
From 5 to 6 p.m. there will be a social hour in the Heritage Center amphitheater and from 5 to 6:30 the Heritage Center will be open to alumni and guests. At 6 p.m. dinner will be catered by Buddy’s BBQ.
The 6:30 p.m. will feature Bob Miller and Nancy Gray from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Superintendent Dale Ditmanson and local storyteller Charles Maynard.
This event at the Heritage Center is free to all Leadership Blount alumni and their guests and made possible by monies collected in alumni dues.
