Pellissippi State Technical Community College is registering now for summer.
Students may choose from full-semester courses (May 26-July 21), first-session courses (May 26-June 22) and second-session courses (June 25-July 23).
The deadline to apply and register for full term and first session is May 21; the application/registration deadline for second session is June 23.
Prospective students are encouraged to apply and register early. The current semester’s enrollment is 8,417—the highest in the school’s 35-year history and a 2.77 percent increase over spring 2008 figures.
Pellissippi State offers a broad range of Career/Technical programs and College Transfer programs from which to choose. Career/Technical degree programs prepare students to enter the workforce directly after college. College Transfer is for students who want to continue on to a four-year school. The college also offers institutional certificates and non-credit courses.
The college also has facilities at four locations: the Pellissippi Campus on Hardin Valley Road, Division Street Campus, Magnolia Avenue Campus and Blount County Center in Alcoa.
For those who would like to visit before applying, Pellissippi State provides tours at the Pellissippi Campus. They are conducted on Fridays at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tours provide the opportunity to talk with current students, view labs and additional facilities, meet with admissions representatives and learn about program offerings.
