Chocolate lovers flood library for program

A crowd turned out at the Blount County Library on Feb. 26, with one thing on their mind… chocolate. Caterer Anna Jane Franklin led the unusual and delicious program titled “Making an Attractive Chocolate Buffet.”

During the hands-on presentation, Franklin demonstrated some of the many surprising and creative ways to use chocolate. “Chocolate is a fun thing, a happy thing. We want people to enjoy,” said Franklin, who is the caterer for the Chilhowee Inn in Walland and owner of Two Hollows Catering.

Franklin gave out samples during the program, which was free and open to the public. The Friends of the Blount County Public Library supplied the chocolate and other supplies. The event was a part of the library’s Love 2 Read program, which was held during the month of February to promote adult reading and enjoyment of the library.
