Foothills Bank and Trust recently celebrated the groundbreaking for their new home office just off Foothills Mall Drive in Maryville.
Mark Loudermilk, president and CEO, said the building will be the new headquarters for the bank. “We are building the building to increase our ability to serve our customers, and we look forward to being a leader in the community for many years.”
The two-story building will have 13,000 square feet of space. “We will occupy 75 percent of that initially, and there’s room for us to grow,” he said.
Loudermilk said there are currently 22 employees, and the employee count will stay about the same after the new building is completed. “We’re an $80 million bank today, and that bank building will serve us until we get to about half a billion dollars in assets,” he said.
Foothills Bank and Trust currently has a branch on East Lamar Alexander Parkway at the Exxon/Huddle House, a loan production office in Knoxville and the main office in Foothills Mall.
