An elegant evening at Royal Oaks gave aid to an important cause in Blount County when the Chilhowee Club of Maryville presented their annual fund raiser for Trinity Dental Clinic. Spring Blossoms Dinner featured a delicious meal and world-class entertainment, all with a serious purpose of getting much needed dental care for the county’s indigent.
The May 8th event offered an elegant meal followed by a top-notch musical program featuring John Cherry, Tom Ireland, Elizabeth Attaway and Melanie LaFoy. Cherry brought the house down with his performance of “Bring Him Home.” The singers are fellow member of Foothills Community Players and performed 10 songs for the diners. Heinz Lips performed selections on the piano during the dinner hour.
The Planning committee for Spring Blossoms included Dianne Cserbak, chair; June Ackerman, Joy Bishop, Ellie Morrow and Ann Meyer, with Lorena Coulter doing floral design, Polly Uhrig as treasurer and Jean Lambdin and Martha Cobb as hostesses. Dr. Jeff Eberting and Harriss Family Dentistry also received special thanks for their assistance.
Trinity Dental Clinic provides dental services to Blount County residents who can not afford basic dental work because of low income or lack of insurance.
