Susie Watkins is Blount Memorial Hospital’s April employee of the month.
An eight-year employee of the hospital, Watkins works as a staff pharmacist in the hospital’s pharmacy.
Her supervisor says, “Susie is a real professional, extremely competent in the pharmacist role, and ethical in behavior and all patient care activities. She is a wonderful role model for our pharmacy students who train at Blount Memorial Hospital.”
When asked what she likes best about her job, Watkins says, “knowing that doing my job to the best of my ability makes life better for my co-workers and for our patients.”
Outside of Blount Memorial, the Oak Ridge resident enjoys poetry, literature and the opera saying, “I love to learn.” She says something others might not know about her is, “I once sang in Notre Dame cathedral in Paris.”
