This May, Grace Notes Flute Ensemble returned to the Blount County Library for its annual spring concert. The Grace Notes have been regular visitors to the library, performing both Christmas and spring concerts for the last several years. The performances have been held in the library’s Reading Rotunda, located at the back of the library’s center gallery.
This spring concert was held on Saturday, May 9, at 2 p.m. Dr. Sue Swilley conducted the flute choir, which is comprised of professional and semi-professional flutists who perform on a variety of sizes of flutes, from the tiny piccolo up to a flute more than six feet in length. In addition to performing high-quality concerts, the flute choir also mentors and trains talented high school students.
