For each of the last 27 years, the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) program has invited supporters to make a big difference in the lives of local kids by bowling a couple of games at a local bowling alley.

Bowl For Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters’ signature fundraising and awareness event, and proceeds from the event help BBBS provide the guidance and friendship of a mentor to hundreds of disadvantaged children.

This year’s Bowl For Kids’ Sake, presented by Edfinancial Services, was held locally at Crest Bowling Lanes in Maryville on Saturday, April 18.

The money raised by the event will help Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee match the nearly 200 children who are waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister.

For more information about the program, visit or contact BBBS Events and Media Manager Brent Waugh at 865-523-2179, ext. 17. For information on how to get involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters, visit or call 865-523-2179.
