Manna From Heaven takes to highways for fund raising

Manna From Heaven, a local food distribution group, teamed up with Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson in mid-May for a different twist on a favored fund raiser.

Treasure Hunt was the theme for the day, as the fundraiser motorcycle ride shared the spotlight with the Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson’s Client Appreciation Day. Riders were given a route, and tried to find as many “treasure chests” as possible on the way. Prizes were awarded upon return to Smoky Mountain Harley.

When the ride was over and prizes awarded, riders and guests were invited to stay for a free concert featuring Toys in the Attic, an Aerosmith tribute band.

The partnership with Smoky Mountain Harley was good enough for the groups to look to the future and plan another ride, this one called the Toy Ride on Saturday, July 18. Admission to participate as a rider in The Toy Ride is one new toy. The ride will be an evening ride, beginning at 5 p.m. at Smoky Mountain Harley Davidson. Prizes will be awarded after the 1-hour ride.
