Steve Anderson promoted to police sergeant

City of Alcoa Police Chief Ken Burge has promoted officer Steve Anderson to the position of police sergeant.

Anderson has been with the department since October of 2005. Most recently he served as a field training officer. His promotion was announced on Dec. 22.

Anderson began his law enforcement career in 1998 with the Blount County Sheriff’s Office. He and his wife, Beth, have one son, Hunter.
