Maryville announces date for last Fall leaf pick-up

The City of Maryville Engineering and Public Works Department will perform a citywide leaf collection beginning early Monday morning, Jan. 4. This is a one time pickup and marks the end of the City’s fall leaf collection.

Residents are asked to separate leaves from other waste (brush or bulk) and place them in piles in the front, but not in a ditch where leaves could clog the storm drains. Public Works Department encourages that leaves be raked out to the curb and ready for collection by Jan. 3. City trucks do not backtrack into neighborhoods for leaves that are not outside for pickup on time.

Bagged leaves will not be accepted, but can be placed outside during the regular monthly brush collection. A decal on the lid of each city trash container contains more information about the zone collection timeframe. For further details, call the Public Works Department at 865-273-3302.
