The Maryville Junior Service League’s Toys for Blount County program received a special Christmas gift from the Royal Oaks Community this holiday season.

During the Royal Oaks community’s annual holiday gathering at the Royal Oaks Event Facility, community members brought new unwrapped toys and monetary donations, which the Junior Service League distributed this Christmas.

Event organizer Dick Cutler said, “It was really great to see my community give so freely to this very worthwhile cause.” The Royal Oaks Community has always donated toys at their annual gatherings, although for the previous 15 years the donation has gone to the Marines Toys for Tots drive. This year, the community wanted to be able to put smiles on the faces of the children in Blount County at Christmas, so chose to make their donation to the Junior Service League Toys for Blount County Campaign.
