Two Blount County Sheriff’s deputies have received degrees from ITT Technical Institute in Knoxville.

Corrections officers Autumn Little and Brandon Brewer both received a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice. In addition, Little was the valedictorian of the Criminal Justice program and received honors for Academic Excellence, as well as Highest Honors.

Little and Brewer have been employed with the Sheriff’s Office since January 2008. They both serve in the Correction’s Division.

BCSO Assistant Chief of Operations James Long, who also serves as the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 134th ARW at McGhee Tyson ANGB, delivered the keynote address at the graduation ceremony, and challenged the graduates to never compromise their integrity, to serve their communities to the best of their abilities and to strive for excellence in their job performance.

“We are proud of these officers for continuing their education, and especially for earning their degrees,” Sheriff James Berrong said. “They are both excellent employees, and we are proud to have them in our ranks.”
