Vendors get shoppers in holiday spirit at Footloose in the Foothills

The holiday spirit rolled into Blount on Dec. 1 with an opportunity to give while shopping, making the third annual Footloose in the Foothills shopping extravaganza a success for vendors and participants. Footloose is organized and sponsored by the Blount County Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service and was held this year in the Alumni Gym on Maryville College campus.

Footloose attracted an eclectic and fun group of vendors who offered everything from candles, jewelry, original art work, children’s wear, arts and crafts. The $10 tickets were a donation to SCHAS, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping senior citizens stay in their homes as they age. Judy Timbs is the Blount County director.
