Sweet Celebrations opened on a Sunday on Aug. 2 to welcome a very special group of visitors -- future brides and grooms. The Sweet Celebrations Cake Tasting and Wedding Show was a cozy gathering of 8 to 10 vendors who offered a wide range of services for those planning a wedding. There were choices for venues for both ceremony and reception, wedding invitations, photographers, musicians, jewelry, flowers and, of course, cakes! Jonathan Dean, owner of Sweet Celebrations, kept a steady supply of cake bites ready for those browsing the displays. Maryville Strings provided a soft background music as excited engaged couples, brides-to-be and even a few solo future grooms gathered information and made plans for their big events.
