The commons/cafeteria and the gym at Heritage High School was filled with happy folks, chatting and catching up while filling their bags with information and goodies from area businesses. The high school was the site of the Blount County Employee Fair on Friday, July 24.
Area businesses, colleges, service agencies and some retailers stocked their tables with information, give-aways, candy, drinks and items to sell as those who works for Blount County came in organized time slots to visit the booths. The cafeteria and gym were filled from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Blount Today set up as one of the participants and took the opportunity to unveil their new School Spirit section, which debuts this fall as part of the new Blount Today Monday package. The section will feature three schools in Blount County, Maryville and Alcoa each week with a good-news feature, a letter from the principal and other tidbits of information that give a snapshot of the good things happening in our schools.
