The Leadership Blount Class of 2009 is raising money for mini-education grants for Blount, Maryville and Alcoa teachers for environmental education.
This special grant will provide resources for teachers to use for educational training and/or environmental educational resources in the classroom.
To raise funds, the Class of 2009 will have a “Green” Party at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 23, at the Royal Oaks Event Facility at 4411 Legends Way, Maryville.
Tickets are $35 each or $350 for a reserved table of 10. Dress for the occasion is “put on your best green attire.”
Tickets are available at Leadership Blount office, Royal Oaks or from any class member.
