Manna from Heaven Food Bag Distribution held a wine and cheese reception to raise money to help area needy families.
Stephanie Stieler with Manna from Heaven said the event held on March 14 at the Capitol Theater went well and approximately 150 people attended. “We raised about $3,000,” she said.
Stieler said Gail McNutt Horse Farm made a donation, as did Judith Greene. “It went very well. We will have another one later this year.”
Denise Evans, owner of LaNese Salon and a Manna from Heaven supporter, enjoyed the event. “I think it went well. Everyone who attended generously donated and became familiar with what Manna from Heaven is doing,” she said.
