The Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center has changed its hours of operation to accommodate seasonal visitor traffic. Beginning April 5, the Center will be open 7 days a week, Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-5p.m., and Sunday from 1p.m.-5p.m. This change in schedule will remain in effect until late fall with the exception of Sunday, April 19, when the Center will be closed for Easter.
Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for senior adults and students. Admission is free for children under six years of age and for Heritage Center members.
The Center is dedicated to preserving and presenting the cultural heritage of East Tennessee and the Smokies and is located on Highway 73 in Townsend, between the traffic light and the national park entrance. For further information, visit www.gsmheritagecenter.org or call 865-448-0044.
