Motorcycle ride and show to benefit Oncology Department at Children’s Hospital

For anyone who likes to ride motorcycles or watch live shows, the Emily & Maddie Memorial Motorcycle Ride and Show will give viewers a chance to enjoy fun-filled entertainment on Sunday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., at Parkway Drive-In on Highway 321 in Maryville to benefit the Oncology Department at Children's Hospital.

Emily Barger and Maddie Harrill were patients of Children's Hospital, and both girls died from cancer. "Our main goal is to support families at the Oncology Department," said Tina McKeehan of the Blount County Association of Realtors. "We want people to remember Emily Barger and Maddie Harrill and keep the hospital doing what it does best."

The Blount County Association of Realtors and Dixie Iron Riders will sponsor the event. Throughout the day, participants will enjoy food, a motorcycle ride and show, and a live local band. The event is free and open to the public; however, there will be a $5 charge for individuals who would like to enter the motorcycle show and a $15 fee to participate in the motorcycle ride. The live entertainment will begin at 3:30 p.m.
