Tom Gaddis, coordinator of the Hospitality concentration at Pellissippi State Technical Community College, was presented with the Hospitality Educator of the Year Award in Nashville Aug. 27.
Gaddis is not a newcomer to the limelight: he was named Hospitality Educator of the Year in 2003, and he earned the local PAULY Service/Supplier Employee of the Year in the spring.
Gaddis received the educator award at the 2008 Tennessee Hotel and Lodging Association Stars of the Industry awards luncheon during the association’s annual conference. He has been head of Hospitality at Pellissippi State for 11 years.
Headquartered in Nashville, TH&LA has a membership of more than 500 hospitality-related businesses.
Stars of the Industry awards recognize individuals in specific categories for employee excellence, industry involvement and community service.
